TRENTON HOFER OCTOBER 10, 1995-FEBRUARY 8, 2020

Trenton Ethan Hofer was born October 10, 1995, to Todd and Melanie (Ellis) Hofer at Huron. He grew up on the family farm near Hitchcock. In September 2012, Trent was baptized through the Prairie Bible Church at Lake Byron. Trent became a member of Prairie Bible Church, rural Carpenter at that time. He attended school in Huron and Hitchcock and graduated from Hitchcock-Tulare High School in 2014. He continued his education at SDSU, graduating from there in 2018 with a degree in Ag-Business.

JUANITA BILBRUCK SEPTEMBER 10, 1938 - FEBRUARY 9, 2020

Juanita was a first cousin to Vicky Reinhold

Juanita was a Certified Professional Secretary and worked for the U.S. Government in various positions and for the First National Bank of Midland Texas as executive secretary to the CEO. She later moved to Coleman, Carrington, Blumenthal and Sloman Attorneys in Dallas as executive secretary to Marvin Sloman where she retired in 2015.
Juanita was a Christian and member of Mansfield Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas.  She was also a private pilot.

ROLAND DEXTER (MAY 12, 1929 - JANUARY 4, 2019)

Roland was born on May 17, 1929 to William and Emma Dexter at home in Holt County in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. He was the sixth of seven children.

At the age of 17, he started teaching in Nebraska rural schools after taking teacher training courses in high school. Roland continued his education at Chadron State College and obtained a BA degree in 1954. He taught four more years in Nebraska. He received a Master’s Degree from Greeley, Colorado in 1957.

DEAN LADUE OCTOBER 17, 1937 - OCTOBER 7,2017

Dean Clarke LaDue was born on October 7, 1937 in Santa Ana, CA to Clarke and Irene (Goerndt) LaDue. He attended grade school in California. Two brothers, Gary and Robert joined the family and when Dean was 12, they all returned to the family homestead near Prairie City, SD. He attended Strool School for 7th and 8th grade and graduated in 1955 from Lemmon High School. He met his sweetheart, Jean Dayton in high school and they would often attend youth outings at the Barnes farm north of Lemmon. Jean was instrumental in leading Dean to Christ during this time.

GERALDINE (GERRI) RUTH HACKENS AUGUST 3, 1917 - SEPTEMBER 8, 2018

Gerri was born August 3, 1917 to Lucius “Bud” and Ruth (Work) Judson at the family home on the southside of Elk Creek. Her early years were spent happily with her brothers, LaVern & Ralph and sisters, Vera & Kathleen. Gerri attended Red Top grade school and graduated from New Underwood High School in 1936. She married Veryl Hackens on December 20, 1936, whom she had grown up with and attended school. After they were first married they lived in the house Gerri was born in, south of Elk Creek.

Marvin Ness December 13, 1938 - August 16, 2018

Marvin was born to BG “Tophy” and Hilda (Behrns) Ness on December 13, 1938 in a private home in Chamberlain, SD. He lived on a ranch north of Pukwana, SD on Crow Creek where he made lifelong friends and learned to work. He attended a country school at Shelby which was 3 miles away. When he wasn’t driven to school he would walk, ride his bike, or ride a horse to get there. The family moved to a ranch north of Caputa, SD in May 1949.

CAROL MARIE HALLOCK MAY 7, 1954 - AUGUST 6, 2018

From her birth on May 7, 1954, in Little Falls, MN, and through her life, Carol’s days were filled with family, friends, and a thousand things to do. She delighted in her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers and plants – seeing and smelling them, growing them, arranging them, and decorating with them. She was a certified florist and a Master Gardener. She loved books and travel, purple and green, and found deep and abiding joy in her church and faith.

David Moring May 21, 2018

A funeral service for David Moring, 62, of Wibaux, MT will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, Wibaux, MT with Pastor Rick Varnum and Ken Waag officiating. Burial will take place at the Wibaux Cemetery.

David Timothy Moring was a man who loved in word and deed from the time he was born in Alaska until the day he was called Home. He was a humble man who never fully realized just how deeply loved and respected he was. A person never finished an interaction with him without knowing he or she mattered. Dave was raised in a godly home by Albert and Betty, where church was a regular part of his life. As he grew, he learned much about Jesus and cherished his King James Bible. But it was during his junior year at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, WY when he had a profoundly personal encounter with God.

Dave’s older brother Tom was home from Montana Institute of the Bible on a visit to the family and the brothers began talking. Tom told Dave about all the new and wonderful things he was learning about God at MIB. It was then that Dave’s heart caught a new fire, and he began a lifelong journey of faith that culminated in the early hours of May 21, 2018 when Dave passed from earth to his eternal home in heaven. He now has forever to ask his beloved Jesus all of the questions that filled his mind while he was with us.

Upon graduation from high school, Dave also enrolled at MIB in Lewistown, MT. This decision revealed itself to be momentous not only because he grew in the faith and knowledge of the Bible and its principles, but also because it was there that he met a beauty queen from a tiny town in Montana. Kimberlee Jean Scammon caught his eye and quickly stole his heart. The two were married in Wibaux, MT on June 18, 1977. At least that’s what everyone told a certain blonde haired little brother who slept through the whole ceremony.

After the death of Dave’s father, Dave and Kim moved to Casper, WY to be near his mother. All three of their children were born during their years there and he also began his career with heavy equipment when he was hired by Wyoming Machinery where he had worked as a teenager. During the years in Casper, he discovered his love of preaching God’s Word. Though he had learned how to preach at Bible School, it was through an opportunity to fill the pulpit in his church for an extended period of time that he came into his own as a preacher. In 1987 they moved to Missoula, MT to take a job with another Caterpillar Dealer where he spent many years. He was later blessed with a position at Glidewell Insurance and Investments working with people he dearly loved. Dave continued to develop his gift of preaching and teaching at their home church, Lolo Community Church, when he was blessed to serve for a year as interim preacher. In 2009 a job change led Dave to Dakota Farms in Beach, ND which allowed for Kim to care for her aging mother.

Dave loved his family deeply. He and Kim were blessed with three children: Karalee, Daniel, and Allison. It gave Dave great joy to play with them and, as time passed, with his grandchildren: Shayn, Hailee, and Brittney. At family gatherings, Grandpa/Gruncle Dave, could usually be found by the squeals of delight coming from any children in attendance.

Dave loved music, particularly Southern Gospel. Kim tells of his morning routine of hooking up a portable speaker to his iPad and listening to the Booth Brothers as he prepared for the day. In the months preceding his dream vacation to Alaska, Dave discovered a passion for photography. In the following years, he was rarely far from his camera and could often be found photographing God’s great creation which he held in awe.

Dave is missed by his wife, Kimberlee; son Daniel (Vera) Moring, daughters Allison Lewis and Karalee (Kevin) Kem; his brother Tom (MeriEsther) Moring, his sisters Rebecca (Michael) Shaffer and Julie (Ken) Waag; his mother Betty (Backstrom) Knight; his grandchildren Shayn and Hailee (Daniel and Vera) and Brittany (Karalee and Kevin); brothers-in-law Kory (Lynn) Scammon and Kyle (Beth) Scammon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

GERTRUDE CRISP MARCH 25,1917 - FEBRUARY 10, 2018

Gertrude May Nagel was born on March 25, 1917 on a farm near Brookings, SD, the daughter of Ervin and Amy (Poller) Nagel. She grew up attending school in the Colman area and graduated from Colman High School. She went on to earn her teaching certificate at Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, SD and then taught school for nine years. On December 12, 1943 she married Harold Crisp in Colman.
