Laura Ann Chord, 17, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016.
Laura was born February 27, 1999 to Clayton and Sally Chord. She grew up on the family ranch with her three older sisters. Laura, a girl of fierce convictions and fiery passions, had dreams and ambitions to change the world.
She accomplished her goal of changing the world. Laura lived her life for the LORD; she was a light in the darkness. Her attributes as a fierce competitor with a quiet spirit showed through her as she competed in track, cross country, FFA, 4-H, rodeo, horse shows, Student Council, choir, and National Honor Society. She was also very dedicated to FCA and Summit Ministries. Laura had a strong desire to be an author, and she chased after it. Her legacy will live on through the writings she left on this earth.
A Celebration of Life service will be help at 10 AM on Saturday, May 7th at Crouch Auditorium, Newcastle High School. A private burial will be held at the family ranch on Friday evening.
Laura was passionate about protecting the unborn and helping people learn about Jesus. Gifts in Laura’s memory will be donated to The Women’s Resource Center of Northeast Wyoming, scholarships to Rainbow Bible Ranch, and scholarships to Summit Ministries.
