"CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE..."
***
Henry David Thoreau wrote, "...If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer."
***
I have often paraphrased that statement to simply, " Marching to a different drummer".
***
Joshua stated to the Israelites, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Daily, we would do well to honestly assess whom we take our lead from. What drives our goals and desires. Have our friendships changed? For the better... for the worse. Are we faithfully leading, serving and caring for our family members. What has priority? Have we turned our back on those that were coworkers before. Is that good? Are our efforts to further God's Kingdom or are they self serving.

Joshua's challenge and ensuing example cause me to consider my daily walk and the far reaching impact of my decisions. "Discipulus Fidelis" .... Follow Faithul.... Thank you Lord for your guidance
