hen we read the creation account in Genesis, God spent His awesome creativity, not on building a house, or a stadium, or a tabernacle, or a…. You probably get the point. Take time to read the first few chapters of Genesis. Some of Psalms and a chapter or two in Job and Proverbs bring out the point as well. Jesus referred to flowers of the field. Many of Jesus’ parables were based in outdoor settings. It doesn’t take long today to read and observe that outdoor experiences are waning. Scripture is clear that we should be careful not to worship nature, but as we observe and partake of it, we learn much about God and ourselves.
