Ruth Gladys (Reinhold) Humke, 85, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on January 17, 2018. Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Park Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Wayne Spanhanks officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

Born in Rapid City, South Dakota on October 30, 1932 to Emanuel and Hazel Reinhold. Married Robert W. Humke on January 31, 1951. She was a proud military wife and homemaker successfully raising 9 children while supporting Robert’s lifetime Air Force career followed by 25 years in the trucking industry.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son Rex and her 8 brothers and sisters.

Survived by her children: Mike and his wife Linda of Elm Grove, Louisiana; LeRoy and his wife Kari of Carlyle, IL; Sharon and her husband Tony of Girard, IL; Darrel and his wife Donna of Garden Ridge, TX; Karen of Longview, TX; Norma and her husband Dan; Rick and his wife Sherri of Keller, TX; and Nancy and her husband Danny of Gilmer, TX. She has 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to those who cared for her so lovingly, most especially Ro for her friendship and devotion.’
